Please join the Center for Africana Studies to congratulate our Associate Director, Teya Campbell, on receiving the Gold level 2023 School of Arts and Sciences Staff Recognition Award. The Center for Africana Studies experienced significant staff changes in the Fall of 2022. Our longtime Associate Director, Gale Garrison, retired, and we had to fill vacancies for Gale’s position, the program coordinator, and the communications coordinator positions.

Teya, who had previously served as our administrative coordinator, admirably stepped up to the challenge and took on the responsibilities of multiple roles to ensure the Center's smooth operation.

This award recognizes and celebrates Teya's dedication, hard work, and exceptional contributions to the Center for Africana Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences.

Teya will be honored at a small gathering in the Singh Center Glandt Forum where her contributions will be celebrated on December 7th at 11:30 am.

Congratulations Teya!
