PhD student, Mathias Chukwudi Isiani, becomes Penn Grad Talks Finalist

Africana Studies PhD student Mathias Chukwudi Isiani has just recently become a finalist for the 8th Annual Penn Grad Talks.

 

He will participate in a competition with other Penn Arts & Sciences graduate students representing the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Professional Master's programs during a day of TED Talk-style presentations. In the category of Humanities, the title of his talk will be “What Is a Church Built For?”: Gothic Architecture as British Imperialism in Eastern Nigeria.

 

Attendees can participate in the event by voting for the overall Audience Choice winner. This event will take place on February 23rd, and is free and open to the public, see more information below.
