For The Third Annual Distinguished Lecture in African Studies, His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone, delivered his speech: "Navigating the Future: Democracy, Progressive Politics and Inclusive Development in Africa - The Sierra Leone Experience". The lecture was received with great applause by a capacity audience at the Perry World House in the World Forum auditorium. A private dinner in honor of President Bio followed to close out the night.
